Sensor Networks and smart metering

Rudi van Drunen, Competa IT en XlexIT
Rix Groenboom

Abstract

This talk describes a sensor network for smart metering built out of simple open hardware components such as the Arduino-like boards. The network uses a central database to present the results built on open source software running on UNIX.

This versatile system is measuring electricity usage and is capable of measuring parameters like COP (Coefficient of Performance) in systems such as heat pumps.
