This talk delivers an update on the latest developments in the Xen hypervisor.
Recent developments include the Xen API, para-virtual framebuffer support, and
continuing improvements to hardware virtualisation support. This talk will
focus on the XML-RPC based Xen API by explaining its motivation and
architecture, and demonstrate early client and server implementations using
it.

Anil Madhavapeddy is a senior engineer at XenSource and works on Xen and the
XenEnterprise products. Previously, he was a member of the University of
Cambridge Computer Laboratory, where he received his PhD in creating
high-performance, secure systems software using high- level languages. Anil
has contributed to many open-source projects, primarily as a long-time
developer of the secure OpenBSD operating system. He has worked in industry
at Network Appliance on creating scalable Internet content delivery systems,
and at NASA on the Mars rover projects.
