Maintaining Dynamic WWW-Pages; the Dutch Home Page

Maintaining popular pages on the World-Wide-Web involves
keeping the information on the pages up-to-date. The question
is how such frequently requested pages with a very dynamic
content should be organized and maintained. With respect to
`the Dutch Home Page', the following items will be discussed:
- Automatic generation of WWW-pages,
- Special software automatically generating
both graphics and HTML-pages has been written.
- Daily maintenance,
- Information on the Dutch Home Page is maintained
in a custom database which can be used for easy
maintenance. Especially the issue of daily new-generated
pages has special attention.
- Serving a multitude of users with different needs.
- Users with a large variety of needs, wishes, and browers
are looking for information on the WWW-acitivities in
the Netherlands. How to satisfy them all....
- The future.
- The fast-increasing WWW-activities both national and
worldwide call for the need to develop new ways to
organize information.
